[BNW] Power-package: Trickster
I was trying to come up with a new power package. The idea I had was a
package that had access to a lot of tricks (including those of other power
packages).
He would have 6-8 tricks that he could pick from the general ones or
from the other packages. Naturally there would be some he couldn't get,
like the Blaster's Blast Punch, or the Flyer's Flight Boost. But there
would be a lot he could get, like the Speedster's tricks, or the
Bouncer's, etc. What I was wondering is if this would be powerful enough
to be a whole power package, or should he get some minor stat bonuses too
(something minor like a +1 to each stat). Basically he would be a jack of
all trades.
I did notice the enCAFFINATED one's Jack and Jill power package which was
similar in some way.
Power:
It's What I Do- besides having access to a larger than normal number of
tricks the trickster gets a cost reduction for buying general tricks
(non-package specific). It costs him only 5 XP to buy these tricks, not
ten. Note: This doesn't effect the number of tricks he starts with (you
can't get more by ONLY buying general tricks).
New Tricks:
Makin' it up as you go along- the Trickster can mimic ANY allowed trick
(i.e. one that he doesn't have, but could purchase) if he gets 1 more
success then normally necessary.
On the one hand he could be too powerful, because he can do so much.
On the other hand he could be too weak, because while the Goliath has the
strength bonus to do something with Superleap, the Trickster's averagish
stats will limit his effectivness with tricks. On the third hand (a foot
maybe?) these two could balance out and make for a decent power package.
