[BNW] New Trick - Opinions, Please
It is frustrating - as both player or Guide - to make a phenominal attack
roll and follow it up with a lame-o damage roll that makes you want to quit
gaming altogether. I had a 37 Fighting: Barehanded that did 8 damage,
including Extra Damage Trick dice! This happened four times during my game
last night. It made me want to scream and got me thinking. What do you
think of this:
Generic Trick: Extra Damage v2.0
For every extra success on an attack roll, the hero adds +2 to her damage
roll.
I think this will work and will make players happy because it gives you an
actual added bonus to your roll instead of just the potential you get from
more dice. A +2 also means that the hero has to roll and use 3 successes to
do an additional wound, which I think is more than reasonable and actually
less bang for your buck than some of the other Tricks available (Blast
Punch, No Fear, etc...).
