That's a good point. The politics of the background are very important
to the game as a whole.

However, I hate to see what could be used as game material space taken
up instead by monologues that re-iterate what's already been stated
before. More importantly, I don't like being told how you're supposed
to feel. I'm a big boy. I can have my own opinions. I don't need to
be told what to think.

It was one of the things that I didn't like, particularly, about
Defiants. I felt like you were flat-out told "Delta Warriors are bad,
Pax Delta is useless, Isla Delta is running away, and if you play any of
those types you're not playing correctly". I emphasize that I *felt*
like it said that, even though it never specifically said it.

I have groups that would love to play a group of Delta Warriors. They'd
enjoy the angst of having to deal with reg casualties and the chance to
use big boom-booms. Others would love to be on Isla Delta, ferreting
out spies, occasionally going around the world with Team Freedom.

Then again, it's probably just me. I'm a libertarian, and the only
thing I hate more then the government telling me what I should do is
having someone else try to tell me how I should think about the
government. :-)

PS (slightly OT): I saw "3 Kings" last night, and the whole time I kept
seeing Clooney as Patriot. Dunno why...
