I don't really see how a house rule can null and void a future
supplement.....you take what you like and leave out what you don't, it's that
simple. Why does everything have to be uniform and neat? I've been reading
comic books since I was 8 years old and never really wondered "where do
powers come from?", I just enjoyed the stories and that's what I intend to do
with my BNW game,.....enjoy the story. I'm making a lot of house rules (such
as Vampires not being deltas and hence not affected by null fields or
snuffers, introducing Betas, which get two power packages, and not having
near death experiences being the only way to get powers...), now when another
supplement comes out to contridict any house rule I make I can just say that
things don't work the same way for all people, Deltas, Betas, or even Alphas.

I agree that it's probably just a balance point, I don't think it's cheap,
but probably necessary. If you don't like it, don't use it...just say that
this Gadgeteer is....different.

Again, I don't see the problem.....Believe me, I'm all for following the
books and guidelines, but when they don't sit right with MY vision of the
world, I change them....artistic license is a wonderful thing :) Do your
players _really_ worry about things like "where do my powers come from"....if
so, how do their characters know _for sure_ ?? Is anything in the Brave New
World certain and that static? I would hope not. Background is great, but I
think that's where it should stay....in the back. The characters and story
should be in the forefront, in my opinon. Granted, you do need some
semblance of order, but do you really need things that rigid?

Well, if you like it so much don't you want to see it succeed? In order to
succeed they have to keep putting out products that sell and the mystery is a
good selling point.

How did you get "Pearl Harbored" into buying this? Did Matt slip it into
your bag and take the money from your wallet? I'm really having a hard time
understanding this love/hate relationship that some people are having with
this game. Sure it has it's flaws, but doesn't every game?
