"What is going on" is merely Alderac's usual lack of interest in maintianing 
an up-to-date website.  I speak fromlong experience (I have been a player of 
the Legend of the Five Rings role-playing game since, hmmm *thinks a moment* 
about two weeks after it was published ... and even that, an *original* 
Alderac RPG property, is sorely lacking in reasonable updates).

In all honesty, the move to Alderac *narly* convinced me to dump BNW entirely.

To put it succinctly: Alderac sucks - get used to it.
