It is a wee bit frustrating when some folks can't get to your site...

In any event, the short of it is that the secret service, as part of their 
crackdown on hackers in 1990, were investigating SJG.  Now, I've heard that 
there was a guy who worked there that actually had files involved in 
hacking stuff, and I've also heard that it was all a misunderstanding of 
the SS's and all the information had to do with GURPS Cyberpunk or research 
materials for it.  In any event, the SS raided SJG, and confiscated a large 
number of computers, files, and pritnouts, and didn't give them back for 
long enough that we almost didn't have a SJG anymore, since all their work 
in progress (namely, GURPS Cyberpunk) was on the computers.

They eventually got most of it back, but it took a long time and they had 
to go to court for it.

A friend of mine worked in the industry when it happened.  He was on the 
phone with someone at SJGs, and he heard some loud commotion, and then a 
voice said into the phone, "You are done."  and it hung up.
