It's covered in the main rule book:
Lifting/carrying - p.142
Throwing - pgs.151-152
One problem I have with lifting: The system seems to work fairly well and
imitate real life to me but there are two things that kind of erk me (okay
so I lied, TWO problems).
1. the max a person can lift is is their strength +2 size objects. This is
with basically no movement. So that means that an average str. person
(2d6) could lift up to size 4 (small person) and not move. Now I consider
myself to be of average str. (2d6) and I can lift my full-grown friend and
stumble around a little. I can lift small people and move somewhat. So I
changed the rules:
size movement penalty
---- ----------------
str + 1 50% movement
str + 2 25% movement
str + 3 0% movement (can stumble a few feet every action).
2. at the upper end the difference between lifting ability and damage
dealing is kind of whacked. The Goliath can lift and throw a small car 10
inches (20 yards), this would easily kill anyone it landed on. Yet in HtH
he does, what... 2? 3? wounds on average? That's just enough to knock out
an opponent. This seems a little weird (and also makes me think Goliaths
should screw HtH and focus on their throwing skill!)
The way I've come to justify it is that you can only pack so much momentum
into a fist. No matter how strong you are you're going to reach an upper
limit due to fist mass and "wind up" distance/speed. I guess. Any other
thoughts?
