Snuff fields work on Alphas that is why there are some still around after the 
vanishing. my theory on it is that snuffing his power just leaves him in one 
form that being the president. or he is a Changeling/Bargainer and has 
bargained his way around that nasty field by causing some excess suffering in 
america.
