I don't know what you could do other than promote the game, provide links
to the other sites that support BNW with materials, provide your own
materials occasionally (or places for other people to put stuff -- this
will increase traffic and interest), and basically that sort of thing. To
save the game requires someone to buy it and put the money into publishing
it. I know a couple of companies looked at it, but declined for one reason
or another. I don't know if price, low sales, or another reason was
involved in the lack of purchase of the line, but I can see that the first
two were probably factors, plus the fact that a lot of companies would want
the line converted to their house system or d20, or to perhaps have greater
control than Matt would like (I don't know how much of a part of the deal
Matt would be, and what rights/controls he still has on the line versus
what AEG owns).
All of it adds up to being rather complicated to save the game as a
published line.
THat being said, at Origins AEG did have a nice BNW display at their booth,
which wasn't quite lost in the Warlord push. I did get to play in Snuff
Club, which was a neat little investigative adventure, and I even got to
play a TK, which is one of my favorite power packages.
