I'm keeping the posts from Matt on file. Alderac is verbal but from BNW's
former line editor and a friend of mine.
But things to keep in mind is this: none of this is binding, none of this
infringes on copyright (as long as we properly acknowledge intellectual
property and don't charge), and none of this cost either party one red cent.
As such, there isn't really much they could do even if they wanted to. It
keeps the game alive and hopefully moves stock off the shelf, which helps
Matt if he tries to sell it to someone else and Alderac to get some money on
what they consider a "dead" game.
There's really no downside here for either of them, unless we start doing
some major messing around with Matt's underlying ideas of Alpha origins.
(Which he has asked me not to do, and I plan on respecting that.)
