Hmmm...
Take the damage they did (or didn't do), subtract that from the armor
value, then apply the difference as damage to the offending limb. But a
limb can never take more wounds than the strength of the puncher.
Ex: Joe Scrub (reg.) punches Blockhead (tough). Rolling his 2d6 str. he
does an amazing 5 points of damage. So Blockhead takes no damage. Now take
Blockhead's 20pts. of armor and subtract Joe's 5 pts. of damage (15). Joe
is size 5 so that's 3 wounds to his right arm. But Joe's strength is only
2d6 so he takes the max. 2 wounds to his arm. Ouch!
This makes toughs and such more dangerous to hit in HtH, but maybe it
should. You're effectively punching a brick wall after all.
Oh, and when figuring out the max. number of wounds DON'T add strength
bonuses. So a str. 3d6+3 bouncer could do 3 wounds to himself at most
(gives the strong boys a little edge).
