[BNW] Just another Demo

Dear List!

Just yesterday I had the opportunity to demo BNW at a local con. I was
quite hesitant at first, because I did not know whether I would get
enough players together (so just in case I already brought one with me
;-)).

I shouldn't have worried. Almost as soon as I sat down I had six
players who were sifting through the archetypes I had copied.

Not only did they pick quite different characters, they all fleshed
out their archetypes in real believable ways.

So with a genius, a tough (ouch, he played that death wish very well
;-)), a scrapper (Italian with a protection racket in the school yard,
who's uncle is a _well respected_ member of the community), a
blaster/cheerleader girl with a corvette (just one of the birthday
presents her daddy gave her), a rundown bouncer/skateboarder (he
actually grinded down a four story staircase while fleeing delta
prime) and a telekinetic (the genius cousin).

The whole affair went over 4 hours (I used Matt's '99 Gencon
adventure, fleshed out and adapted for Caiman City use - yes there
will be new NPCs for the website soon, and THANKS, MATT) and at one
time we had to change location, because my players became so
boisterous that a closeby group of werewolf players became very much
annoyed (sissies ;-)).

When I get settled down again, I might just type up what happened for
the Caiman City website.

So - if you get the chance, host BNW at local cons - It's a great
system for that. On the other hand, I see now, why so many people are
prejudiced against roleplayers. I am just way to normal for this bunch
;-).

For Love and Liberty,

Arne Reuter
