The adventure in the GM screen is a good first outing, especially if you haven't run things before. It is unlikely that the players will have gotten their hands on it unlike the adventures in the back of the sourcebooks.

Other good ideas include having the players play norms who survive a mass disaster and awaken as Delta's (This idea leads well to either a DP or a fugitive defiance campaign depending on how the players do things), or a DP based campaign where the characters are sent to recover an unregistered Delta -- The one I like to use is a 90+ little old lady Lazarus ... she is so harmless and sweet ... not a threat to ANYONE.

Talk this over with your players. Some will like the archtype approach, others won't. Personally, I like to have some control over the creatiopn process.

This depends ... does play other types of games (not just RPGs)? If so, it's a good way to intriduce her into a wonderful hobby. Again, I am biased. I met my wife almost 20 years ago at a first ed D&D game.

Keep to the standard gaiming contract. This will allow you run things YOUR way. Keep discussion of rules issues OUT of play time, and discuss things after. And remember, if you aren't having AT LEAST as much fun as your players, something is wrong.
