Nope.  its not even an "essential for any game in the Grand Canyon" 
adventure (tho it helps...esp if you don';t know much about the GC).
Not griping about the adventure at all, its nice (if mostly a dungeon 
crawl) but Unless adventures are your thing or yer a comp[letness freak, 
its miss able.
