[DL] get two with one

Hallo guys again,

one of my posse ever wanted to shoot down two targets with one shot of
his shotgun.
i made the following rule about that, but i think it`s somewhat
complicated. so if some of you have better ideas or there`s already an
existing rule (official or not), let me know.

so here my rule:
1. shooting at to targets is only possible at targets size 8 or smaller,
but for the following rule i guess they are sizes 5 - 7 and
human(-like).
2. the targets shouldn`t stand farer away from each other than half a
meter (2 feet).
3. the targets must stand at about the range score of the scatter
weapon from the shooter (for a normal shotgun these are ten meters, if i
remember right).
4. to be at the right range, you have to dice shooting: shotgun combined
with scrutinize and dice at least a 5.
5. the shot must be a >called shot< between the two targets wether in
height of their heads (-6 penalty) or everywhere else (between them, -4
penalty).
6. the actual shot is handled like ever.
7. to get the damage take the >maximum< number of dices you could get
for that weapon (i think for most times these are 6d6)
8. the chances of hitting one of the targest or nothing are standing 1
to 1 to 1.
9. now you have to dice with a d6 (or any other dice, which maximum
number can be diveded by 3) for every damage dice you are allowed to
roll thereafter(in the case of that normal shotgaun again six). then
look at the numbers you had rolled: e.g. you could say every 1-2 hits
one target, every 3-4 hits nothing and every 5-6 hits the second target.

10. now you seperate the damage dices how it is said under 8..
11. roll damage for the two targets (I assume you won`t need the
>nothing<. the hit location relates how high the shot was aimed. a
called shot to the head(s) will only hit the head whereas a shot to the
upper guts could also hit one arm of the target, depending on how they
are standing to the shooter.

to give an example:

The huckster Vincent van Ryan is engaged by to zombies running side by
side and straight towards him.The huckster knows no fear and takes his
doublebarreld shotgun he calls >Susi< and intents to empty both barrels.

Van Ryan has scores:
shooting: shotgun 3d8
scrutinize: 2d6.
Thus he has to roll with 3d6.
He rolls and gets 2, 4 and 5 so it worked. Vincent has to wait a few
seconds, but when he shoots the zombies are about ten meters away.
Vincent`s to hit roll must beat a 10 (5+6(called shot between the
heads)+1(range)-2(for easier aiming with a shotgun)).
As mentioned above he dices 3W8 and gets 2, 5 and 8. The 8 rolled again
shows 2, which makes ten - enough for the shot to hit.
Both barrels emptied, that makes 12!d6 for the damage. Now he has to
find out which ones will hit and which won`t. He takes 12d6 and says,
1-2 for zombie, let us call it >Brain<, 3-4 for hitting the emptyness
between them and 5-6 for zombie >Dead<.He rolls 1,1,1,2,2,3,3,4,5,5,5,6.
These are 5 damage dices for Brain and 4 for Dead. In addition take the
extra dices for the hit location >head<.
In my example he gets a 41 and a 36.
That`s one big pile of spaghetti with meet (or brain).

Is that rule acceptable and understandable? Too complex? Comments?
Critics?

Any major grammar, spelling or rules mistakes making the content unclear
(I`m not the best in English)?

Thanx in advance,
