Let me try again:

My opponent has a posse in a barn on Hold.  I need to go in there and roust
them out.  My action card comes up.  I have two choices:

a)  I can either go in there and let them shoot first as they come off Hold,
or

b)  I can go on Hold myself, wait a bit, come off Hold and move in there
(admittedly at half speed).  This would make them beat me in a Smarts
contest to get the first shot off.

I think it's awkward.
