RE: [DL] Speed Loadin'

The step from single-action to double-action isn't too great,
engineering-wise. Conceptually, it was probably pretty big at the time.
So, yes, Deadlands might've moved the introduction of the double-action
pistol earlier a bit, but not so much that it qualifies as Mad Science.
They did it probably to just give players a choice.

You did notice that the Peacemaker is listed both under single-action and
double-action, right? That'd be the choice I refer to.

That, and just because the rules say Colt Peacemaker doesn't mean Colt was
the only company making handguns of that size/type/capacity, nor was the
Peacemaker the only option from Colt. But "Peacemaker" is a nice generic
term, kinda like "Kleenex" or "Xerox." (At least in the US.) You put a
bullet thru the brain of a zombie with a Remington, it'll lie there just a
"peacefully" as if you had used a Colt ;-)
