Partially right. No retconning, because barring the fact that it was a
feminine name given to a man, we (at the time) knew nothing about the good
Baron.
I have to admit, I do like the alternate crossdressing angle, and the reason
given. Very nice.
If you trawl through the searchable archives (www.deadlandsarchives.com) you
can probably find the conversation that led to the eventual background.
Personally, I like the sound of "Simone" better than the sound of "Simon"
(when pronounced in the original froggie, that is).
(oh, and Daphne, I'm sorry I told Ross he was right. :-P)
