With regards to replacing the Official Pinnacle Way with something
of your own, fans of the Walkin' Dead would do very well to pick up a
copy of the All Flesh Must Be Eaten RPG. It's got a system for making
up all kinds of zombies, from assault-rifle-fodder shambling hordes to
those ones that just don't die - they just get broken into smaller
parts and their intestines come crawling after you trying to strangle
 you, and so forth.

Also, of course, it's an RPG about zombies, and has an introduction
written by Shane Lacey Hensley. Hmm, and it's hardback (that'll often
clinch it for me). And there's a sourcebook coming out for it called
A Fistful of Zombies, also written by SLH. And there's such thing as
the All Flesh Must Be Eaten chocolate bar.
