Re: [DL] question about fate chips and wounds
The classic "Bullet hits hat and knocks it off" happens alot to my players,
when the chip away a bullet that would've otherwise pierced their foreheads.
If they haven't the chips for complete wound negation, their hair gets
parted/scalp creased...
We also have a Grim Servant o' Death in the party, who tends to have small
children or pretty lady folk steppin' into the line o' fire at the last
instant, takin' the bullet meant for the player character when he spends
chips. The posse really hates that!

Hi,
we (or rather *the Marshall*) usually find a convenient excuse for that,
which usually include moving out of the way, being barely nicked by the
bullet rather than having enter into between the eyes and exiting from the
back of the skull.
Just look at the final results (# of wounds) and describe something that
would've caused that, and emphasize how close they came from having a more
painful wound there.
