Sorry folks, its a chimp,s stats.
Chimps are between 6 and 8 times stronger than an adult male human, at least according to my comparitive vertebrate anatomy professor. Does this mean the average chimp can benchpress between 600 and 800 lbs.? No chance in Hell!. Their frames are too small and their bones too brittle to endure the strain. What this means is that chimps are fantastically strong but how they are able to apply their strength is at issue here. My suggestion, 5d8. This gives a fair chance of an ace without going overboard without having to resort to using the mandatory minimums associated with Trait levels over d12.

As for other trait levels, here are some suggestions:

Deftness        2d4 (Although the chimp possesses a thumb they're not all that good at using it for anything other than grasping food and tree branches.)
Nimbleness    4d6 (Spry and nimble but certainly not ready for ballet.)
Quickness     1d10 (Quick! Very quick but not greased lightining.)
Strength        5d8 (Physically imposing for sure but no match for a thick necked 'roid noid.)
Vigor            3d6 (Durable and healthy enough to survive the rigors of the wild)
Cognition       4d6 (Sharp and alert but falls short of Spidey Sense.)
Knowledge  1d4  (No formal schoolin'.)
Smarts          1d6 (Clever for an animal, some have even been known to use primitive tools on occasion.)
Mien             1d6 (Not much for leadership unless named Proteus.)
Spirit            1d8 (Not exactly reverent of the Allmighty but strong willed. Angry cusses when cornered but a little flighty when faced with a direct challenge, in other words skiddish not yeller.)

Size: 4 (3-4 feet tall and weighing around 100 lbs.)
Pace: 15 on all fours (pace 10 when moving through trees or over rough terrain.)
Natural Attacks:
    Bite causes Str damage
Special Abilities:
All chimps possess the keen edge.
Chimps can't swim, they sink like rocks due to their muscles being so dense and tightly packed.

I hope this helps.
