Re: [DL] Will Someone Stop the Bleedin'?

My sincere apologies for even implying that the methods by which I arrive at
my conclusions are in any slight way "common." When I say common sense, I
really mean extreme laziness. I am too lazy to do lots and lots of math. I
am also too lazy to remember that wound penalties don't stack, but wind loss
does. It is easier for me to remember one rule and switch the words out. =]

Your points are taken and your argument(s) sound.

But,

I see wind loss from bleeding not as an actual amount of blood spillin' out
of some poor sod's gut, but as an abstraction for how quickly the blood
leaving said cowpokes body is affecting his/her ability to remain conscious
(or alive). As such, and considering that Light and Serious Wounds probably
also involve some loss of blood, but as far as game effects go, they don't
factor in at all, I don't think that the amount of blood spilling out of one
missing leg and the amount of blood spilling out of two missing legs is
going to have a very different effect on someone's ability to remain
conscious. Sure they are probably spitting out twice as much blood, but at
the point where they are losing 3 wind every 6 seconds, adrenaline and shock
are probably going to keep that from increasing.

I know, that's pretty weak. Maybe I should start totaling up blood loss. Not
only is it a bit more "realistic," it has the added bonus of bring extremely
evil, and I LOVE evil.
