Re: [DL] Western Cliches

Slimy bigshots in string ties.

Earnest settlers in covered wagons.

"Mongo"-types (i.e. big, dumb and stupid thugs who suddenly respect the hero
after being knocked out. viz Blazing Saddles and Pale
Rider.)

Church congregations singing "We'll all gather at the river."

Sliding drinks along the bar

Mesas that look suspicously like they are in Monument Valley.

Nameless evil extras taking up positions on rooftops behind false fronts
with rifles.

Said nameless evil extras getting shot (usually with a pistol!) and falling
with outthrown hands.

Like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again!"
