[DL] [d20] Question about a feat and effects of fear

In the equipment section under the description for the
Derringer, it says that it can not be used with the feat
Shootin' from the Hip. However, this feat is nowhere in the
book. Can someone shed some light on this please?

Also, there's plenty of monsters that cause a character to
make a fear check, and this is gone through in the main book
as well, however it never says what fear effect happens
anywhere. In the main d20 rules in the DMG there are a few
different effects of fear (such as shaken). How are we to
know which effect to use for which creatures?

Other than that, I love this book (other than the obvious
printing errors which make a page number reference to
actually be a few pages off :P). It's a very good way they
worked with firearms and such, and I love the way they
worked the spellcasters. I always preferred a spell-point
based system, and this allows that without necessarily
giving the characters access to every single spell, so it
keeps them toned down enough to be balanced. I do not know
about certain abilities and feats that allow a coup de grace
against a normally non-helpless opponent, but I guess that's
part of the west, very deadly. If it turns out to be a bit
much, then I can tone it down anyway.

Thanks.
