RE: [DL] Re: Am I crazy??

What rules do you guys usually use for mad science realiability and malfunctions? The ones in the rulebook are silly - its way way to dangerous to use, yet we are meant to believe that railroads and factories are run using this stuff! Even a reliability 20 item explodes one time in 200 that its used!

I use 1d10, rerolling aces, for both reliability and malfunction results, which makes the stuff far more usable. Any better ideas?

These characters do not absorb hit points, it works exactly like
deadlands classic as in they are hit in the arm, leg whatever. And
characters in my games do not become tacticians primarily due to how I
run the game. Combat is not at all primary in my game and so nooone
sits around planning what to do next. The characters are just now an
average of 5th level and have only just discovered shooting undead in
the head is more damaging to them. Long story short its not the rules,
hell its never the rules, its the GM.

Quite to the contrary my posse runs combat very fast and efficient.

Then stop using this forum to discuss how you feel about d20. This is a
forum for lovers of deadlands to help one another however they can.
Frankly I dont think any of us needs help coming over, we like the dark
side just fine :).
