Suffice it to say that it is not as far-fetched as you might believe, or 
had been led to believe by the approved school cirriculum history books.


And Pinnacle addresses this rather frankly in one of their books.  Racism, 
bigotry, slavery, wife-beating, religious intolerance,  and all of the 
other social ills which were prevalent at the time just. aren't. fun.  


If you wish to explore that aspect of the West in your games, great.  Me, 
I want my character to be standing on main street with his back to the sun 
facing down Black Bart.

Something that also never happened in the "real" West.  But it's a lot 
more fun to play through.
