If you don't want to spend a lot of money try to find
a used copy of The Quick & The Dead and the updated
rules, which I think can be found on the web site.

  If you've played or GM'd Call of Cthulhu then you
will familiar with the formula 1) The players
investigate 2)Fight some grunts and 3)Then meet the
boss.  At least that's how I usually run the
adventures.
  Remember, you can keep it simple and I recomend that
you do at least for the first few adventures, that way
everyone can become familiar with the system and
setting.
  Probable the hardest part of clasic Deadlands with
be determining damage, but like all things that will
come with time.

  The d20 version doesn't interest me for the reasons
mentioned above, to me it just wouldn't be deadlands
with the chips and cards.  That's not a put down on
d20 that's just my opinion, for those who like d20, I
say keep on rocking.
