[DL] Wierd idea for a relic

This would probably be more appropriate for Hell on
Earth, since it originates in the 20th century, but
I'm not on that list, as I don't play HOE. Players,
ask your Marshall if it's okay to look at this. If
he/she says yes, read on. If no, better look anyway,
because if he/she plans to use it, he/she is an evil
no good no good.

Jack Benny's Violin
Leave it to the Reckoners to take the prop of one of
the great comics of the 20th century and make it into
a tool of evil.
Power: When played, everyone hearing it except the
performer must make an Incredible (11) Guts check.
Persons with Performing: Stringed Instuments must
apply their aptitude as a penalty to their roll. As
well as the normal effects of a failed Guts roll, each
person that failed provides the equivalent of a
sucess/raise on a hexslinging roll for a Nightmare
Realm hex. Those that go bust count as two raises.
Taint: It can't be used by anyone with a Performing:
Stringed Instruments aptitude greater than one. No
matter what the performer actually intends to play,
he/she always end up doing Love in Bloom. Repeated use
results in the user believing that he/she is a superb
violin player. He/She will also pick up the hindrances
Miser and Intolerance 2 (Irish Tenors) as well as
being attacked by any polar bears he/she may encounter.

I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is called a disgrace, that two are called a law firm, and that three or more become a Congress.
