According to Shane from a few months ago, the core books are meant to 
stay in Print as long as there's demand and no uber-super-dooper 
revised edition in the pipe, and I don't think they're planning any 
major revisions...

I think the previous issue was resolved to be a distributor 'error.' 
Certain distributors apparently like to think they are in charge of the 
publishers. and will take things out of print to be helpful... They 
assumed that Deadlands d20 made the original Deadlands obsolete, so...
