Re: [DL] Last Union Widow dies (a mite OT)



Hi again,
    Another (silly) thought on the "last of's" of the Civil war.  The last
surviving veteran of the Civil War (died in 1959, aged 113) was a
Confederate.  Now it seems last Civil War Veteran widow was married to a
Confederate.  Can we then extrapolate that as the Confederacy has won the
longevity records for veterans in both categories that supporting the South
is good for one's lifespan? ;-)
    Yes, I did say it was a silly thought.
