Re: [DL] Need idea for Texas Ranger NPC

Hi,
I don't know what your harrowed PC is like in outlook on (un)life, but
when I was running a harrowed PC, his take on (un)life was that he didn't
know what he was supposed to do with himself. He didn't know how to fight
the evil both inside him and in the world. Your harrowed PC might have the
same problem.
You might want to introduce the Texas Ranger NPC not only as a potential
threat, but as a possible source of redemption. "Yeah, you're an undead
menace to society what's killed five innercent folks already. Here's how
y'all can balance the score." Who knows, maybe your harrowed is afraid of
himself and the evil he might do? In such a case, he might actually welcome
the Ranger as the Ranger might help protect the public.
As well, the other PCs might welcome the Ranger as another gun against
the "unpredictable" harrowed PC. In one campaign I was in, a harrowed
gunslinger was *much* better at shootin' then the rest of the Posse put
together. The rest of the Posse lived in fear of her abilities should the
manitou take over.
    My two cent (CDN),
              Daniel
"Thus conscience doth make cowards of us all."
     Hamlet, Act III, scene i.
