It could end up being good for the game, giving a
little bit of a push towards the weird west. Remember
the fuss on this list or an ancestor when 'Ravernous'
came out?

I think Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle had a similar
problem with Traveller, its Black Globe forcefields
were arguably copied from their novels. They let it go
becuae pursuing it was more trouble than it was worth
and it was good PR for them.
