Don't reduce the number of components required, but reduce the final weight.  The components are the
main limitation on the Junker inventions.  Just say that the Junker has to collect the parts, then a
significant portion of them are ruined in the creation of a ten-pound chainsword.  You could even
say that the Junker has to look for more components, in order to find the right ones that can be cut
down.
