That's why I said, I might be a little jaded, but IMNSHO opinion, I don't
feel that I could run HoE "out of the box" like I could with Deadlands.
There are way too many gaps (mainly in setting, background, and gear) that
would prevent me from playing it until more info came out.

But it's even worse, because Deadlands had a background we were familiar
with. Understanding important setting issues (like tech levels) wasn't an
issue, because the background id 95% Wild West History. In HoE, we have to
combine an alternate past with a 100 year gap, make many assumptions as to
hew technology advanced to our timeline, and then project all of that 100
years into the future!
Way too many leaps of faith for me!
