Why do you have a problem with 21st century technology building a robot body
that can be silent?  AB mentioned STEAM leaking, but I think he's getting his
games confused.

I've had cars roll up behind me in the parking lot without hearing them (while
on foot), so I have no problem visualizing a man-sized mechanism controlled by
a human equivalent intellect which can move silently.  Maybe they just carry a
can of 3-in-1 oil with them at all times.
