Hmmm...
With what you're describing, it sounds more like Legend Chips. Grit is more about what the
character thinks about himself vs. the Reckoners, not about the fear of the populace. However, I'm
certainly in favor of penalizing characters for raising Fear levels but taking away chips or using
the Black Chip rule. Possibly take away Grit if the characters futch up real badd against a
fearmonger, and get themselves whupped in the process...
Imagine getting the 5 Grit, facing Los Diablos, losing a Grit, and having to do the LD thing all
over again ;)
