I think that we are all in agreement on this.

And the occasional inside joke is great - especially if it's really subtle,
like Varney's Flats from Deadlands.  But Hell on Earth has a lot more of
the camp/inside jokes then Deadlands, and in my personal opinion, they at
time detract from the grim, life as we know it has ended, there are
hundreds of Deadlands in existance and my family got stomped by one of the
four Horsemen of the Apocolypse feel.

The "Saving Ryan's privates" bit from Wasted West was a wee-bit much for
me.  Other things that I didn't like I just skimmed over because I knew I
just wouldn't use 'em, but that one thing just sticks in my craw, as it
were.
