[HoE] Eight More City Encounters
Here are some more encounters I worked up, most are a little more chipper
(and as for Sammy and Greg don't make me get ugly on you two!):

1) A "Professional Battery Maker" that has a whole host of batteries that he
sells and will buy dead or old batteries. The Junker uses a Higro-electrical
recharger he has hidden.
2) Tommas Turner a performer that likes to sing for his dinner. He's really
good but there's one problem. He will take requests but only knows songs
from a particular era, say the 1970's Disco (now that’s mean).
3) In the ruins of a bar the posse find an odd machine that unless they
where businessmen or just cooky before the war have no idea what it is. The
machine is no longer functioning but there is a dataslug in it when they
tare it apart for parts. When the posse puts it in their Palmcorder it
starts to play some weird music and words appear on the screen with a ball
that goes from word to word with the beat. The words read "Babe. I got you
babe. I got you babe." I think you know what I'm getting at.
4) The posse come across a building that seems to have been in an old ally
way. As they go through the rubble they find a book from some religious
group that called themselves the "Freemasons."
5) A pack of "Magic: the (never mind the name)." If the Character opens it
and get a dose of a mind-altering drug (see page 87 of Wasted West) that
makes them want to find more or just get their hands on more of them.
6) While rummaging through what seems to be the remains of a person's house
they find a recipe book in the kitchen. In the book are things like snails
and animal tongues.
7) As the posse make their way through a crowed a man stops them and tells
them "I'm a government agent sent to see how you are making out. I was told
that if I found you to give you this." He hands the posse a small black
plastic cylinder with a gray lid. "It's the film on the invasion plans the
enemy wants." And then looks over his shoulder and runs into the crowd so
the posse can't catch him. If the posse expose the film it's worthless but
if they find a way to get it developed they find it's someone's vacation
photos.
8) A mutie looks at the posse as they enter the city and whispers something
to his companions. Later they see the same mutie following them as they make
their way around town. He seems to be carrying something in his hands, but
stays away from the posse. Should the posse try and get the mutie and find
out what he wants the mutie shows them a picture of one of the posse and
some old people (his/her grandparents). The mutie found it and is willing to
sell it. He doesn't tell the character that he/she is his/her grandparent.
