So far no real replies, so I felt I had to respond.

There are no "syker"/doomsayers. Doomsayers can though take the
"greenie" edge (hindrance?) (from BrainBurners). This starts them with a
blastin' of one, one power and some weird fate chip effects.
Technically, you can also take greenie with initiate. And yes, you can
use "any and all available Strain [you've] acquired, whether through
Edges, powers, or even technological devices." So, yes, you can take
child of the atom (5), steel trap mind(5), fortitude and even lifetap,
giving you something like 50 strain points, or their equivalent. Of
course, it costs you 15 points for the edges. The odd bit is that
greenie is free, and presumably anyone could get it, as long as they're
"kids." (look in BrainBurners). And if you were insane you could be a
Junker/Doomsayer/Greenie/harrowed and have multiple major mutations,
though supersoldier would be a little implausible, especially with the
lowering of traits. Of course, you would need a character with really
high stats, and you would end up with no normal aptitudes. (Using the
shaman rules from Weird West, you could also take faith and gain rituals
and favors). You also could take mo'miracles with your greenie/doomsayer
and have 12 powers. I assume the excess will only get worse, with the
cyborg (?), templar and junker books coming out.
