This is true of most material in the books. I got into this thinking it was
going to be Mad Max,
and it's looking more like Rifts every day... >>

Don't forget, the book says that a Templar can really get any one
hand-to-hand weapon blessed by Simon and use it. That means that while most
of the Templars try to find good swords of old (how many people would go to
an art museum for post-apoc. weapons? How many swords does to Chicago Art
Museum have?), some have blessed axes, golf clubs, nunchucks, embalmed
herrings, ect. Also, I don't see a Templar being more well armed than anyone
else in HOE- they can't shoot fireballs from their head or hands, don't do
card tricks, can't build uber guns, and are expected to whoop a** on black
hat squads and motor cycle gangs all the same. And as far as the clean cut
thing goes- I think thats more hype than reality in game, since they spend
half their time deciding who is worthy. Don't forget, any game can be made
as much or as little like Rifts by the GM.
