Re: [HoE] an intro to HoE for my new players...



That little bit is kinda like a ploy to get them to gloss over some 
certian info in the books.  I want them to know most things, but I 
also want to leave out the things about Stone etc.  The other thing 
is I don't think any of them are going to have any of the rulebooks 
until they get hooked on the game. (they are cheap like that)  I got 
one friend of mine to buy the DL Wierd West book by selling mine 
to him at half price, and buying a new one at full.  (thats how much 
I love this system)

The intro was mostly to get them interested in playing, and to 
convince them its worthy of playing.  Since I didnt have the chance 
to talk face to face with them last week (I was too busy) I thought 
that little ditty would make them think they knew it all, and just 
head for the mechanincs section of the books when we meet. I 
also did a rundown of all the character concepts in the game to let 
them start thinking about what they'd like to choose.
