Re: [HoE] an intro to HoE for my new players...
That little bit is kinda like a ploy to get them to gloss over some
certian info in the books. I want them to know most things, but I
also want to leave out the things about Stone etc. The other thing
is I don't think any of them are going to have any of the rulebooks
until they get hooked on the game. (they are cheap like that) I got
one friend of mine to buy the DL Wierd West book by selling mine
to him at half price, and buying a new one at full. (thats how much
I love this system)
The intro was mostly to get them interested in playing, and to
convince them its worthy of playing. Since I didnt have the chance
to talk face to face with them last week (I was too busy) I thought
that little ditty would make them think they knew it all, and just
head for the mechanincs section of the books when we meet. I
also did a rundown of all the character concepts in the game to let
them start thinking about what they'd like to choose.
