Y'know, I was planning on doing the same thing, only I want to do it when we 
get done with plying deadlands for a while.  I'd probably have the entire 
world be saved and the recokoners would be stopped completely.  And i think 
the powers of the heroes of the wasted west would work in the weird west and 
vice versa because, we have some hucksters in our HOE game.
