[HoE] Question of the Day #1 (6/11)

A BrainBurners question:

Force Field

Okay, it says that this doesn't form a "wall," and can't be used to protect
one's comrades, extended in nifty Sue Richards/Fantastic 4 ways, whatever.
Fair enough.

But...how "tight" is this on the Syker using it? Can the syker wield
weapons, for instance? Or does having, say, a 1/2" force field around one's
entire body prevent one from being able to effectively shoot a gun (kinda
like pulling a trigger with winter gloves on)?

Alternately, does it form a "bubble" around the syker, albeit a relatively
thin one? In this case, is the stuff the Syker holds _inside_ the force
field? Does it prevent him from shooting out since any gun he holds would
be inside the force field? And prevent him from effectively attacking,
since the field would blunt any sword or edged weapon?

The Brainburner book says nothing on any of this, and implies that there is
no detrimental effect to the syker attacking whatsoever. However, we've got
two problems with this:

A) It doesn't make much sense: either one or the other of the above would
seem to apply. The alternative is a paper-thin force field that does not
impact the user whatsoever, and lets him use any weapon freely.

B) It's mildly (and not so mildly) abusive. Take a Templar, give him Armor
of the Saints, have him take Greenie (this is legal, according to Pinnacle)
put Force Field on top of _that_ and make a decent success-and-a-raise to
activate, and then have him wear some armor on top of _that_, and you've got
a guy who is substracting some pretty serious chunks of damage.

As far as the amount of experience spent, it's certainly not an overnight
thing. But the possibilities are there.
