I'm sorry if I was unclear, I wasn't referring to "cash" per se. I have no
doubt that the Mall of America works on the same general "generic"
trade/barter system that the rulebook suggests for the rest of the HOE. I
was referring to the more complicated (to me at least) supply/demand
glut/shortage system that had been proposed in earlier discussions, without
focusing on it to the extent that your characters stop being "save the
world" heroes and start becoming "let's plan the trade routes"
Ferengi-types.
*shrug* It may not be heroic to have to go out and buy guns and stuff. On
the other hand, you might have to research a Fearmonger to find out his
secret way to kill 'em. But being able to blow him to little bitty pieces
with a grenade launcher so you can buy yourself some time to adminster that
"mystery cure" never hurts...
As such, it seems like the system should be friendly as possible. Which is
how Pinnacle made it, but which some people seemed to feel should be a bit
more...complicated, shall we say?
