Whoa! Belay my last message. Seems I didn't quite interpret the Weaponsmith
thing right.
It appears that if you know both powers, you can make energy weapons using the
rules listed. It's almost like a free power you get just for knowing the other
two, since it depends on neither the Weaponsmith stats or the Shield ones.
However, you still may need to miniaturize it, and the saber might not be able
to do enough damage to make it worth his Strain.
So, if you were making a 'Saber that did 2d10 damage, here's how it'd go:
Weaponsmith
Slots: 20
Drain: 5
(let's assume that the builder got 3 raises on Mini)
After Mini'ing, Weaponsmith will take up 14 slots
Brain Drain
Slots: 10
After Mini'ing, Brain Drain takes 7 slots
So we've got a weapon that runs off Brain Juice, does STR+2d10 damage, and is
the size of a rifle. Not bad. If we toned the damage down a bit, we could
shrink it further...
