Actually, it would just be "Skating," rather than "Driving: Skates," at
least as far as my take on it would go. So we'd have "Skatin':
Rollerblades," "Skatin': Ice," and for the thrashers among us, "Skatin':
Skateboards."

To my way of thinking, skating simply involves a set of reflexes totally
divorced from those used in driving, or at least different enough that it
warrants another skill set.

If you decide that riding a skateboard is different enough from skating to
warrant its own skill, I'd lump it in with "Surfin'." *g*

After the number of times I personally have found the effort to stay upright
preventing me from doing anything else while on skates, it seemed the most
natural way to handle things. *g*
