[HoE] [DL] & [HOE]Fiddlers, I wanna revisit that idea

I've been lookin' at the alternate ABs people had come
up with (okay, I was honestly just cleaning out my
inbox, I'm a e-packrat) and I noticed a few things
about Fiddlers. First of all, I really like the idea.
Second, I got a few ideas to add to the mix, like
making it more Hell On Earth compatible. I was really
inspired to do this because I'd like to play a banjo
Fiddler in WW and I saw "Six String Samurai", an
interesting Post-Apoc movie.

Even though their like Hucksters I dont' think they
should use the Hexslingin' Aptitude. I was thinking
they'd use the mundane Performin':Fiddlin' Aptitude,
and they only use other traits when actually casting a
hex. I also think that it shouldn't be limited to
fiddles. Okay, I do think it's okay in the Weird West
because it's much newer and much less prolific,
however as time goes on I think it would spread to
other instruments. That creates a dilemma. Other
instruments have more than four strings, or no strings
at all. A couple ideas would be that when the whole
she-bang was transfered to other instruments the
visual reminder was dropped. When a fiddler recieves
backlash there's just a resounding sound of a string
breaking that only Fiddlers can hear and/or maybe it
manifests itself in a manner relating to the
instrument but can be physically fixed. IE- a drummers
head breaks, he can't play until he gets a new one or
repairs the old. Or an amp blows out on a guitarist. 
Also, I think that Fiddlers should be able to work
together to make a hex work, It makes them more
powerful but hey, bands usually out-do solo musicians.
I think that would work alot like apprentices or
helpers to Mad Scientists when making blueprints.

Dueling: I'm not sure how to exactly go about this
one. The wording in the Fiddler's description says
they're like Hucksters, so does that mean they can use
their standard hexes? If so, I think dueling would
work like Huckster duels(and probably rather
entertaining to see too), if not, I ain't got a clue
right now.

that's all I got right now. I'm going to continue to
ponder on this subject and let you knwo when I get
something. Otherwise I'm interested to hear what
others, especially BD Flory (who designed it) have to
say.
