[HoE] Re: Surviving abominations
On the subject of what abominations surived to
HOE, I'd always had this weird idea that the Badlands
Devil Bat eventually wound up on the Endangered
Species list. Just picture it: An enviromental
activist booth with 'Save the Devil Bat' bumper
stickers next to 'Restore the Mexican Wolf' stickers.
I can see a whole marketing line of devil bat
merchandise to support the EPA's attempts to protect
the species from extermination.
Heh . . . of course, the people ultimately behind
'protecting' the devil bats would be servants of the
Reckoners. I mean, c'mon, who else would want to keep
an abomination around. :)
John "Really, the Badlands Devil Bat is a noble animal
that's been villified by numerous unverified reports
of attacks on travellers. They're really quite helpful
to their prey herds as they take down the sick and old
allowing the healthier members of the species to
survive." Higginbotham
