Do you really find that to be an issue in your campaign? The same could be
applied to any level of high-armoring, whether it be Infantry Battlesuits or
those godawful Battlesuit thingies from the HoE Companion book.

Trying to armor yourself as best you can seems to be common sense, on the
part of the person armoring up and anyone seeing themselves in general.

My campaign, the folks can wander around in as much armor as they want. Now
_weapons_, they have to check at the door/town gate/whatever. But to say
that normal civilians would find the nomadic wanderin' types that PCs tend
to be suspicious because they go to great lengths to protect themselves
seems kinda odd.

Again, this may vary by campaign. However, at least as far as the source
material, I guess it seems to depend. Certainly folks in Junkyard don't
think that, since Junker/Hucksters seem to be a booming business there. And
I like I said, that's where my group is heading. Besides, our group has a
Syker, a Huckster (vet of the Weird West), and a Doomsayer. Normal folks
don't really trust them any more than they do Junkers... ;)
