    True, but shields cost power and alot of it at times.   One idea a junker 
used was to make an armored biker suit with Temperature power and a building 
browser.  Sure it could get blown away with enought fire power but the junker 
used it mostly to avoid roadrash if they spilled out.  Also, enc is not as 
much of a problem on a vehicle (see knights in armor).
